Nationally known and loved radio host and owner of 20 The Countdown Magazine, Jon Rivers, is joining The Music Boat Cruise 2005.

20 the Countdown Magazine broadcasts the top 20 Christian artists and songs every week over more than 175 radio stations across the country and through more than 50 outlets in other countries around the world.

Jon will be promoting The Music Boat Cruise on the air during his program beginning May 7. In addition, 20 The Countdown Magazine will be featured on its own stage during the cruise. With a longtime relationship with The Premier Group, the two companies were a natural fit for co-promoting this exciting adventure on sea.

Q. What do you enjoy about hosting 20 The Countdown Magazine? Is it still as much fun as the first day?

A. I just love counting them down! It never gets old. Most of the time, just like the listeners, I actually do NOT know where a song will show up!

God is Crazy About You Tour

As Mark Lowry winds down his “God Is Crazy About You” tour with Stan Whitmore and LordSong, he took a few minutes to talk with Premier about his work and his life from his “reMarkable” perspective.

Q. As you wrap up the "God Is Crazy About You" Tour for the summer, what are some of your best memories from this concert series?

A. Each concert is unique in the sense that each audience is unique. I never really know which way we're going to head each night. We know what the first three songs are gonna be and we know what the last song is going to be but we have no idea how we're going to get there. Since I am the 'Bill Gaither' of the night (in other words, I'm in charge) it's an A. D. D. Rabbit trail every night. But, it's a lot of fun.

Radio Station of the Month

“On-The-Air” Award – for the radio station that has demonstrated outstanding service to the Christian music industry, artists and audience.

Congratulations to HIS Radio WLFJ, based in Greenville, S.C.!

Station manager Rob Dempsey accepted the award on behalf of the station.

Q. What is your reaction to receiving the Radio Station of the Month Award from The Premier Group?

A. We are completely honored to be recognized this month.

Q. How long have you at HIS Radio in Greenville, S.C. been working with Premier? What do you think the two organizations have in common? (mission, purpose, etc.)

A. His Radio has a rich history with The Premier Group. Our relationship began in 1983 when Gary Gentry was the music minister at a local church. He started bringing concerts to that church and invited His Radio to be a part. It was a natural fit. Since those early days both have grown. One to bringing life changing concerts and events throughout the nation and the other to broadcast throughout the region of the South East. I have always viewed our relationship as a partnership to reach more people with God's message of hope found in the Gospel.
